Cartier Bereavement Trust

CARTIER BEREAVEMENT TRUST

The Cartier Trust was established in memory of much-loved drag artist Courtney Cartier. Courtney died in October 2000, aged just 32 years old, of lymphatic cancer after living with HIV and AIDS for some years. With limited money available for her funeral, the community united to help – and the idea of the Cartier Trust was born.

As a fundraiser for the Trust, I teamed up with local drag diva Tess Tickle, acclaimed photographer Jarrad Mapp and founder Karen Ritchie to create a 2015 calendar starring some of NZ’s most talented queens. I also revamped their logo that was used on the calendar and for advertisements at LYC’s annual Big Gay Out event.
